Why You Need To Be Subscribed To Lucy Moon

April 07, 2017
Lucy just uploaded a new video.
E v e r y  s i n g l e  w o r d  resonated with me.
More on that later.

Sometimes, when I watch YouTube videos, I am aware of my indifference to the content and my impassive nature as a spectator. There is something troubling about creators on the platform who present their perfect lives, perfect clothes and perfect makeup. I don’t know about you, but I go to YouTube almost as an escapism from the world around me, so when I see someone who is apparently undeniably a faultless vision it can leave me feeling even more deflated than when I started watching the video.

Lucy Evenden, better known as ‘Lucy Moon’ is a 22-year-old full-time YouTuber who describes herself as “Grapefruit enthusiast” who creates videos of “self-love, feminism and music that will make you want to dance”.

I think this is the understatement of the year.

If you enjoy fashion, travel, beauty, advice, self-care, social and political correctness all spoken in a down to earth manner - then Lucy is your gal.

Anyway, onto her latest video entitled ‘Things I wish I'd known as a teenager’. Lucy openly and honestly speaks about peer pressure, sex and university. All of which I am sure you can agree, do capture the average teenage life.
In the video, we get a well-rounded view of these everyday issues depicted in a balanced, non-bias format, but still underlying of her opinion on the matter. She provides enlightening words of wisdom which anyone can relate to, using her own mistakes as a passage to hopefully help others not make the same.

Lucy is like a breath of fresh air in which you can watch day or night. Along with herself, Hannah Witton, Dodie Clark and those alike, we enter a new stage of YouTube as a form of self-expression and considered advice.
